Project Coordinator, Finland
Tampere University (TAU) is a multidisciplinary public university that brings together research and education in technology, health and society. It conducts research at Plural and TAUCHI Research Centers, involving Tampere Accessibility Unit (TACCU) and the Multi-modality in Translation and Interpreting research group (MULTI).​ TAUCHI research center is an internationally renowned center in all types of multimodal user interfaces, with strong research areas of haptics, gaze, olfaction and XR. With 90+ researchers in computer science, psychology, sociology, and user-centred design, it is the largest research unit in the field of human-technology interaction in Finland and one of the largest in the world in its field.

Finland
University of Oulu (UOULU), Faculty of Humanities. UOULU is an international science university located in Finland. Its research unit of languages and literature in the Faculty of Humanities fosters research that is of high international and national quality, being recognised as such through funding and publications. The unit combines research in linguistics and language studies (particularly in functional linguistics and multimodal interaction analysis), literature and cultural studies. It hosts research that encompasses a broad range of theoretical and methodological backgrounds in the above areas.

Denmark
University of Copenhagen (UCPH), Nordic Studies and Linguistics. UCPH is a world-class public research university, located in Denmark. UCPH Full Professor Brian Due, part of the NewWorkTech project team, has been a central figure in the development of video ethnography and multimodal interaction analysis in northern Europe. He applies various methods, e.g. Conversation Analysis and multimodal interaction analysis, video ethnography, ethnography, ethnomethodology and breaching experiments in his work. He has received several prizes in recognition, including the University of Copenhagen Innovation Award 2022 for the results of the BlindTech project.

The University of Warwick (UW) is a top university in the UK with a reputation for excellence in research and teaching, innovation, and its links with business and industry. Its Department of Politics and International Studies has been ranked 1st in the UK for Research Environment in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021. The Interdisciplinary Ethics Research Group within this department has a substantial track record in applied interdisciplinary ethics.

The European Platform for Rehabilitation (EPR) is a network of service providers to people with disabilities committed to high-quality service delivery. It is active at the European level in the fields of employment, education and training, vocational rehabilitation, social care, medical rehabilitation with cross-cutting expertise on co-production, quality of services, quality of life and mental health. It assists its member organisations to provide sustainable, high-quality services through mutual learning and training activities. EPR has 30 members in 16 EU countries.

The National Research Council (CNR) is the largest public research institution in Italy, the only one under the Research Ministry performing multidisciplinary activities. Its Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies (IRPPS) and the Social Informatics and Technology Assessment Group involves interdisciplinary skills in human-centric design and human-machine interaction. They also focus on data gathering and analysis through machine learning techniques, social informatics, co-design methods, and collaborative and co-creative approaches.

Autism Foundation Finland (AFF) is a Not-for-profit organization, which was established in 1998 by families whose vision was to help deliver independent and meaningful living for people on the autism spectrum. Today, AFF operates in 23 locations throughout Finland, with 462 professionals providing high-quality services for a wide range of people. They offer a comprehensive selection of services for daily activities, vocational activities and supported living.

The Italian Down Syndrome Association (AIPD) is a non-profit organisation with a mission to create a comprehensive and inclusive society for people with Down syndrome by providing a range of support services. Through partnerships, they promote workplace inclusion and employment opportunities for adults with Down syndrome. They also coordinate the Valuable Network, a European network of more than 250 socially responsible companies in the hospitality sector. They promote the labour inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities through internships and targeted job placements in the hospitality sector.

The Danish Institute for Visual Impairment (IBOS) is Denmark’s national knowledge and rehabilitation center for people with visual impairments. With more than 150 years of experience, IBOS is the country’s largest specialised workplace within the field of low vision and blindness, offering a comprehensive range of services to young people and adults, their families, and professionals.
IBOS provides free assessments and counselling, as well as tariff-based rehabilitation programs, educational support, residential and day services, and tailored guidance to help individuals with visual disabilities maintain or enter employment and education.
IBOS actively engages in national and international research and innovation projects, contributing to the advancement of assistive technology and inclusive practices.

Be My Eyes is an SME developing innovative assistive technology for blind and low vision people, through the app 'Be My Eyes'. The app connects blind and low vision users to sighted volunteers through video connection, providing assistance in 185 languages. In 2018, the feature Specialized Help was launched with Microsoft as first partner company. Specialized Help enables blind and low-vision users to connect with official company representatives for accessible and efficient customer support. Be My Eyes now offers a variety of corporate solutions besides Specialized Help, including Be My Eyes Groups, Be My Eyes for Work and Corporate Volunteering.
